Measuring for cushion replacement

There are three measurements that you want to get from your existing couch cushions.  Take the following measurements, and record them on a piece of paper.  It is recommended that you remove the existing foam from one of your cushion covers to ensure an accurate measurement.  There is typically a zipper in the rear of the cushion cover that will allow the foam to be removed.

  1. The THICKNESS of the couch cushions.
Round the measurement to the nearest, whole inch.  For example . . . If your measurement is less than 4.5", round down to 4".  If your measurement is greater than or equal to 4.5", round up to 5".
  2. The LENGTH of the couch cushions.
Measure the overall length of each of your couch cushions.  You will probably have 2 to 3 cushions per sofa.  Add those measurements together.  If your couch cushions have 'ears', make sure you are measuring the longest edge .
  3. The DEPTH of the couch cushions.
The depth of the couch cushions typically goes up to either 24" or 27".  Make sure you select a size that is equal to, or LARGER than your existing cushion.
